Care will be exercised by the judges while picking up and placing entries.
If you don't wish your entry to be picked up,
or if it is not attached to a base, you should note
this on the entry form.



 * = modeller needs to enter their contestant number and the model's entry number on the appropriate sign up sheet to be considered for the award.
The sign up forms will be printed & available at registration time.


Best Scratchbuilt or Conversion Criteria

CRITERIA: Any entry, in any category, that, either by itself, or as the main focus in a diorama, or as a collection (Rules Section 2.5) that can be considered a scratchbuilt or conversion
(Rules Section 2.4).

Best Canadian Subject Criteria
  • Any entry, in any category, that, either by itself, or as the main focus in a diorama, or as a collection (Rules Section 2.5) that can be identifiable and distinctly Canadian in its markings and function or usage.
  • Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Air Force, Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army, and Canadian Coast Guard subjects would obviously qualify.
  • Additional examples of Canadian content would be:
    • An RCMP police car.
    • An Airbus A320 in Air Canada markings.
    • A figure of Canadian fighter pilot Buzz Beurling.
    • A model of the schooner Bluenose.
    • A Canadian Churchill tank at Dieppe.
  • Examples that would NOT qualify:
    • A plain-painted vehicle sporting provincial plates.
    • A Space Shuttle with the Canadarm.
    • A Ram tank used by the Dutch Army.
    • A Belgian CF-100.
    • A Canadian-built Royal Navy Corvette.
    • Fictional subjects. e.g. Star War X-Wing sporting Canadian markings.
