Best Scratchbuilt or Conversion Criteria
CRITERIA: Any entry, in any category, that, either by itself, or as the main focus
in a diorama, or as a collection (Rules Section 2.5) that can
be considered a scratchbuilt or conversion
(Rules Section 2.4).
Best Canadian Subject Criteria
- Any entry, in any category, that, either by itself, or as the main focus
in a diorama, or as a collection (Rules Section 2.5) that can
be identifiable and distinctly Canadian in its markings and function or usage.
- Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Air Force, Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army, and
Canadian Coast Guard subjects would obviously qualify.
- Additional examples of Canadian content would be:
- An RCMP police car.
- An Airbus A320 in Air Canada markings.
- A figure of Canadian fighter pilot Buzz Beurling.
- A model of the schooner Bluenose.
- A Canadian Churchill tank at Dieppe.
- Examples that would NOT qualify:
- A plain-painted vehicle sporting provincial plates.
- A Space Shuttle with the Canadarm.
- A Ram tank used by the Dutch Army.
- A Belgian CF-100.
- A Canadian-built Royal Navy Corvette.
- Fictional subjects. e.g. Star War X-Wing sporting Canadian markings.
